Internal View of Power Array

Internal View of Power Array

I’m not spending as much time developing this side of the project. I’ve been monitoring Space ward Foundation and I’m still convinced that the nano tubes take presidents here. Which I’ve been spending more time on. Theoretically speaking.... if the laser beam was miss aline due to what ever reason... how could they regain the power, drive etc....ok so see my theory on solar array this page. What if the real challenge was the tether cord? Lets face it carbon/graphite is very conductive and could theoretically carry "ampere" very easily over this distance (self experiment proven) without change. My monies on the tether cord for now. There are so many other applications with graphite wire

Tether testing comming soon. (june-2010)

Graphite

Received the graphite, we’ll label this Carbon on friday but the machining of parts will    have to wait another three or four weeks. Sp2 bonds are what I need. However, I hope to incorporate other materials to make it some what malleable. I’ve found that carbon along was to brittle in early testing and as you know there are still condition, one being weight, conductivity, etc. I’ll let you know around May/2010. Prototyping is pretty expensive too but its worth it.

First and Secondary Photovoltaic array

This is what my first and secondary power array will look like. There are many configuration to this power supply. After testing my primary and secondary out put this will definitely work. Once I make this transparent you will see very clearly what is going on. The first array will pivot on the XY access 35 degrees. It will have photo senors on the base to identify the direction of the "Power Source". This will maintain the pitch of the first array. The over all weight should be 45-49%. It will not be made of graphite. I should be able to have an input of 16-18v for the first array.

First Array Assy.

Well.... after watching the teams fall a little short. I've decided to have my first voltaic array a functional one which means the ability to move on an XY access. Here's an example: think of a microscope just below the sample you can maneuver the light so it amplifies your image. I will also impregnate 4 sensors which will detects light and re-adjust its pitch to maximize its receiving power source or unforeseen problems like wind, changing angle etc.. Mini servo will have to be added. The picture you see is in simple format.
